Supply Chain Standards
Material Sourcing
We are committed to responsible sourcing throughout our global supply chain. That's why we take steps to vet suppliers for their sustainable labor and materials sourcing practices, deal only with non-embargoed countries, and act to prevent counterfeit parts from entering our supply chain.
Vendor Qualifications
As a minimum Mac-Weld expects all vendors to have a Quality Management System (QMS) and Inspect / Certify to EN 10204 3.1.
Vendor Documentation
Mac-Weld expects Material Test Reports from the mills with every order. They must be clean, clear, legible copies and show EN 10204 3.1 and NACE when applicable.
Material Quality
Mac-Weld strives to provide our customers with quality products at competitive pricing. As a rule, we request NACE MRO 175 or 103 on all products that can be produced in accordance to this standard. Additional requirements will be on a case by case basis and listed on the RFQ/RFI.
Conflict Minerals
As part of our commitment to responsible sourcing, we work with our supply chain to trace potential sources of minerals such as tantalum, tin, gold or tungsten, which are known to help finance conflict and contribute to the humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We routinely conduct inquiries of our suppliers to identify potential use of these conflict minerals.
Russian Materials
To ensure Mac-Weld’s compliance with the current EU/UK regulations prohibiting the import of Russian iron or steel products, we require that all registered suppliers agree to supply only compliant products and/or materials. Suppliers may be flagged by customs for proof of origin, which must be presentated to Mac-Weld within 5 business days of receiving the initial request.
Mac-Weld will not accept material containing Russian iron or steel inputs per EU & UK regulations. Suppliers are also asked to be aware if the products they are supplying are of Chinese origin.
